Chantelle MacinnisMC, RCC

Clinical Counsellor and Associate

Chantelle works from a client-centered, trauma-informed approach and believes that individuals intrinsically have what they need to live fulfilling, authentic lives. Chantelle collaborates with clients on their goals and supports them to heal the pain that is covering up who they really are. This all starts with feeling safe, which begins with the therapeutic relationship.

Chantelle provides counselling to those experiencing trauma, relationship difficulties, grief and traumatic grief, anxiety, poor coping, low self-esteem, and difficulty navigating life’s challenges.

Chantelle holds a master’s degree in counselling psychology, and has completed additional training in Observed Experiential Training (Level 1),the Safe and Sound Protocol, Motivational Interviewing, and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Chantelle also works with a variety of therapeutic approaches, depending on the needs of the client, including Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Somatic Interventions.

Chantelle has over 6 years working in the mental health field and is passionate about helping clients develop the tools and support they need to move through life. Chantelle grew up in the Maritimes and spent many years in Vancouver before moving to Kamloops two years ago. She loves the simple things in life: reading, cooking with her partner, sunshine, being physically active, and animals.
